Y'all.
I dont usually plan anything, which makes this a fucking surprise in itself. It dawned on my twin brother and I that we BOTH love the idea of 4x4/overlanding. we BOTH also have adult autonomy, remote jobs, lust for adventure, and access to a fuck ton of national park across North America. SO what do we do with that?
Buy 2 mid 90s Toyota Land Cruisers and fuckin GO. Really. We bought the first one, she's a beaut cunt in a rubbish blue sitting with a little lift and 35in tires. If you dont know anything about these cars.... they arent cars they are tanks. You can wrench on this thing anywhere, it'll keep going. We have lots of areas to practice off-roading skills around me in the run up to our first few National parks, thinking the PNW and then on up to Canada.
I'm fuckin KEEN. Usually I am a flights guy, the kid in me is loving the road trips - thats all we used to do. I've been loving rolling around in the old cruiser, they dont accelerate for shit but you don't care, its a vibe. You're just takin life in anyway.
Our end goals are to drive down to South America via the Pan American highway and across the US via the TransAmerican trail.
